Las Vegas is ready to welcome the Year of the Snake with vibrant off-Strip Lunar New Year celebrations that honor cultural traditions and offer exciting modern experiences. From January 29 to February 12, 2025, a variety of events, performances, and culinary delights will be available at various locations all around the Las Vegas Valley. Guests can enjoy traditional lion and dragon dances, Lunar New Year-inspired dishes, and even festive cocktails. These unique celebrations provide an engaging way to experience the Lunar New Year while highlighting the rich heritage behind the festivities. Whether youโ€™re drawn to the energy of cultural performances, the charm of symbolic traditions, or the thrill of limited-edition dining, these events are not to be missed.

Year of the Snake Comes Alive Off the Strip in Las Vegas

Palms Casino Resort invites guests to celebrate the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Snake with an array of festive events and offerings from January 29 to February 12, 2025. Visitors can enjoy a mix of cultural traditions and modern entertainment, including special dining menus, vibrant performances, and property-wide celebrations. Highlights include a spirited Lion Dance performed by the Las Vegas Kung Fu Academy on February 1, representing good fortune and prosperity, and exclusive Lunar New Year-themed dishes at restaurants like Send Noodles, Tim Ho Wan, and the A.Y.C.E. Buffet. These events aim to honor the joyous spirit and cultural heritage of the Lunar New Year, providing memorable experiences for all attendees.

The Golden Tiki is celebrating the Lunar New Year with the introduction of a special cocktail called the โ€œCobraโ€™s Kiss.โ€ This limited-edition drink features a blend of Ming River Sichuan Baijiu, passion fruit, ginger, lime, and other distinctive ingredients, served in a custom-designed mug. Priced at $16, the cocktail will be available from January 29 through February. Inspired by the Year of the Snake, the Cobraโ€™s Kiss pays homage to Eastern traditions while offering a unique twist on a classic tropical drink.

Panna Thai Restaurant off the Strip in Spring Valley has a slew of seafood specials exclusively to celebrate Lunar New Year. The Drunken Lobster, Sen Ja Pad Pu Lobster, Grilled River Prawn with Garlic Rice, and Mussels Pad Cha are served throughout February (while supplies last) and the Thai specialties are the perfect way to celebrate the Year of the Snake in a local favorite spot.

The annual Lunar New Year celebration is returning to Suncoast, The Orleans, and Gold Coast with a variety of cultural performances and festivities. Suncoast Hotel and Casino will host a traditional lion dance and a performance by the Golden Goddesses on Friday, January 31, at 5 p.m., beginning at the Valet entrance. The Orleans and Gold Coast will follow on Thursday, February 6, each featuring lion and dragon dances. The Orleans event starts at 6 p.m. at Bailiwick, while Gold Coastโ€™s parade kicks off at 8 p.m. near the Bingo escalator. The celebration at Suncoast will also include remarks by Vice President Rick Goldstein, an eye-dotting ceremony, and the ceremonial โ€œcai qing,โ€ where lettuce is tossed for good fortune. Guests are invited to participate in the festivities by offering red envelopes to the lions, symbolizing blessings for prosperity and good luck in the Year of the Snake.

Silverton Casino Lodge invites the Las Vegas community to welcome the Year of the Snake with a vibrant Lion Dance on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 5 p.m. The celebration begins at the porte cochere and weaves through the casino, showcasing this cherished tradition with energetic drumming, dazzling costumes, and dynamic movements. Symbolizing prosperity, good fortune, and protection from evil spirits, the Lion Dance is a cultural highlight not to be missed. The event is free and open to all, offering an engaging experience filled with joy and tradition for guests of all ages.

Downtown Summerlin will celebrate the Year of the Snake with its annual Lunar New Year parade on Wednesday, January 29, starting at 6 p.m. The event, presented by Kirin Ichiban, features traditional performances such as dragon and lion dances by The Lohan School of Shaolin, along with fan dancers, stilt walkers, and other festive entertainment. Guests aged 21 and over can also enjoy a complimentary Kirin Ichiban beer tasting experience from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at The Dining Arroyo, showcasing the brandโ€™s dedication to quality and enjoyment. Through February 4, visitors can take in vibrant Lunar New Year decorations, including oversized 2025 letters at Macyโ€™s Promenade, a magnificent Chinese dragon at The Dining Arroyo, and a photo-friendly festive wall near H&M.
