Knott’s Spooky Farm Family Fun

If Knott’s Scary Farm is a little too intense (or out of your age range), Knott’s Spooky Farm might be the perfect alternative. Back through Halloween day, Knott’s Spooky Farm brings Halloween fun to children of all ages (and adults too) from Thursday through Sunday and is included in the regular cost of admission! Knott’s Berry Farm invited us in for the opening weekend to experience the spookiness of the park.

Knott’s Spooky Farm Brings Family Fun to Southern California

Trick or Treating

You’ll find treat stations throughout the ghost town—there are stations at these locations: the Bank, Bottle House, Gold Mine Trail Entrance, Gold Mine Trail Photo Op, Leather Shop, Pitcher Gallery, Post Office, Spurs, Town Hall and Undertaker. Make sure to download the Knott’s Berry Farm app and check online to make sure you catch them all!

Rides

The Calico Candy Mine Train and the Timber Mountain Log Ride: Halloween Hootenanny are both dressed up for Halloween. Each has a fun seasonal overlay that’s definitely worth a visit (if the little ones prefer fewer thrills, the Calico Candy Mine Train will be the perfect option). Use the app to check wait times—if you’re hoping to avoid long lines on weekends, purchase Fast Lane access. It’s worth the cost to avoid standing in the sun for long periods of time since it’s still fairly warm out! You’ll want to save that time for trick or treating. A Trip to Camp Spooky on the Grand Sierra Railroad is another family-friendly option where visitors can take the train to see the Peanuts Gang dressed in all their Halloween finery.

Activities

There are plenty of fun activities to enjoy during Knott’s Spooky Farm. Guests can enjoy the Gold Mine Trail with carnival games and Halloween fun for all ages in addition to trick or treating. The Pumpkin Patch is the perfect spot to slow down and enjoy some cookie decorating amidst the beautifully decorated pumpkins. Visit the Creepy Critters of Calico for a fun farm corral that’s perfect for all ages. Make sure to stop at Camp Snoopy to meet Snoopy dressed for the holiday!

Shows & Events

If the little ones are dressed for the occasion in costume, have them join the Costume Cavalcade at the Calico Mine Stage (they’re welcome to join even if they’re not in costume). They’ll march around the space with Peanuts Gang characters making for some adorable photo ops. Check the schedule at the Bird Cage Theater for “Bob Baker Marionette’s Halloween Spooktacular” and the Camp Snoopy Theater for the “Great Pumpkin Palooza.”
