A Culinary Adventure: Exploring the Intricacies and Flavors of the Signature Dishes at Restaurant Yuu

This 18-course omakase menu is the brainchild of Chef Yuu Shimano, a master in his field with training from both Tsuji Culinary Institute in Osaka and three-Michelin-starred Restaurant Guy Savoy in Paris. โ€œWe focus on the classical French style of cooking with the difficult approach of bringing it into the modern age,โ€ Chef/Owner Yuu Shimano told us. โ€œWe only use the best and freshest ingredients in our dishes, and as a result of this, some of our dishes are small in order to ensure that they are fresh and to provide the highest quality dishes for our guests.โ€

From the custom Arita plates to the black marble L-shaped chefโ€™s tasting counter, every detail has been thoughtfully designed for an unforgettable dining experience. โ€œThe dining experience that guests can expect is an 18-course French omakase tasting menu with Japanese undertones served at a chefโ€™s tasting counter that is set in front of an open kitchen that acts as a stage, performing as we prepare the dishes like it is a theater,โ€ Shimano explained. โ€œMy hope is to provide a Broadway show-like experience that the guest can see and enjoy when dining. At the end of the meal, guests are escorted to a lounge area to enjoy mignardise and after-dinner drinks, as well as relax and socialize.โ€

Along with an all-star team of chefs and sommeliers, Chef Yuu has curated a menu that is both beautiful and delicious. โ€œThe hidden gem of the restaurant is the team I have chosen to work with me. They each have a background and history with me,โ€ Shimano told us. โ€œWhen I was opening Restaurant Yuu, I wanted to choose only the best in the industry and who I knew would work well together to provide the best possible experience for our guests.โ€
