With stations throughout the boroughs, access is convenient. A MetroCard is required, with a standard fare of $2.75. Avoid street-level traffic and reach your destination quickly. You can also pay for rides on your phone via Google or Apple Pay for a touchless (read: germ-free) option. And don’t worry about missing out on the traveler discounts—if you charge 12 rides within seven days, MTA automatically will allow you free rides for the rest of that seven-day period.
