Ultimate Brunch Platter at Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge

Brunch season is in full swing, and letโ€™s be honest, half the fun of brunch is in the fact that itโ€™s usually a pretty picturesque meal. While we love a good pancake or waffle, Vegas does things a little differentlyโ€”even off the Strip. Here are five fantastic off-Strip brunch options.

La Neta Cocina Y Lounge

Enjoy exotic flavors, and a fun take on brunch favorites atย La Neta Cocina Y Loungeย inside Downtown Summerlin. We were invited in for a hosted visit at brunch and had the chance to enjoy the fun ambiance and unique tastes. The menu features various twists on traditional brunch fare like the “Wake and Cake” with a meringue whip sprinkled with gold leaf, the “Trash-Quiles” served in a decorative mini trashcan, and “Shrimp and Gritties” with polenta pancakes. If you prefer a more alfresco experience, enjoy brunch in the lounge with the open-air space, high-top tables and DJ booth.

BRIO Italian Grille

Located insideย Town Square Las Vegas,ย BRIO Italian Grilleย is the perfect spot for a leisurely brunch before or after some weekend shopping. We attended a hosted press tasting of the new brunch menu that consists of two different scrambles (a โ€œGarden Veggieโ€ and a โ€œTuscan Sausageโ€ version), the โ€œBerries and Cream French Toast,โ€ avocado toast, and the โ€œBistec Alla Romano.โ€ The regular lunch menu is also available during weekend brunch, so you can still get your pasta fix if thatโ€™s what youโ€™re craving.

Kona Grill

Brunch atย Kona Grillย in Boca Park is a fantastic prelude to an afternoon of shopping or enjoying the local parks. We got to sample some of the brunch menu during a recent press visitโ€”Kona Grill has been a Summerlin favorite since this editor’s college days. The “Spicy Lobster Avocado Toast” is a great item for sharing as are the “Ricotta Cheese Fritters.” If you’re hoping for an ideal photo op, the “Daybreak Sandwich in a Spam Can” is perfectly Instagrammable. If you’re not feeling particularly “brunchy,” the lunch menu is also served during brunch hours.

The Front Yard

One of the best places in town to watch the game is also a great spot to grab brunch on Saturdays and Mondays (especially perfect if youโ€™ve been partying all weekend). The Front Yard insideย Ellis Island Casino, Hotel and Breweryย serves various brunch classics like steak and eggs and avocado toast alongside reimagined flavors like the โ€œStuffed Crust French Toastโ€ and the brisket Benedict. Round out your meal with the bottomless Mimosas or one of their brunch cocktails like the โ€œOld Vegas Knightโ€ or the โ€œRaspberry Refresher.โ€

Casa Calavera

One of the most picturesque new spots in town,ย Casa Calaveraย atย Virgin Hotels Las Vegasย serves up Latin flavors at their La Maรฑana Brunch (we got a little hosted press tasting when brunch first began this summer). We were invited in for a hosted visit to try out their main menu staples like the Mexican Street Corn and the Ahi tuna tostada alongside brunch fare such as the chimichurri New York steak and eggs or the Juanito cakes stack (or order all of it, we promise we wonโ€™t tell). The chilaquiles were a fun, shareable item and “The Calavera” dessert was the perfect way to end the meal.

Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge

You might not think of a wine and whiskey lounge when you think of brunch, butย Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Loungeย at Town Square Las Vegas serves up traditional brunch staples and modern twists on classic breakfast items. If youโ€™re visiting with a group, try out the Ultimate Brunch Platterโ€”it has a four-person minimum and costs $12.99 per person. The platter is served on a three-foot board and includes seasoned home fries, bacon, scrambled eggs or an omelet, chicken and waffles, fresh fruit and a toasted baguette.
