NYC Pride Month

New York City is no stranger to the history of the LGBTQIA+ community. Some of their most iconic landmarks can be found in the heart of the Big Apple. To keep their history alive and celebrate how far theyโ€™ve come, the city is proud to host NYC Pride and has created several events for the community throughout the month of June. Whether you want to dance the night away, learn more about the history of Pride Month or meet other members of the community, thereโ€™s something for everyone in this great city.

Hester Street Fair

June 24, 11:00 AM

It might not be what you usually find at Pride, but the Hester Street Fair offers fun this year that everyone can join. This fair is located at Pier 17 in Seaport, an event space with a perfect view of the water at any time of day. Theyโ€™re combining with Pride this year to create the Pride Market, an opportunity for LGBTQ+-owned and operated businesses to share their vendors with others.

Teaze

June 24, 2:00 PM

If youโ€™re looking for a different kind of party experience during Pride, head over to Brooklyn on June 24. Teaze returns with four different parties under one roof. Each one has a unique theme that you wonโ€™t find anywhere else in the city and caters to every kind of party you love.

PrideFest

June 25, 11:00 AM

PrideFest is a fantastic way to celebrate Pride with the whole family. Youโ€™ll find a variety of outdoor fun waiting for you with street vendors, exhibitors and activities of all kinds. Thanks to their entertainment stage, you can jam out to some music, get everyone in on the fun at their interactive family area, or taste some delicious local food along the streets.

The March

June 25, 12:00 PM

The biggest event Pride is known for is The March, as the very first March in 1970 is what sparked the movement we currently have today. This year is the 54th year of The March, and itโ€™s promising to be just as grand as years before. Beginning at noon, participants can march through Madison Square Park, Greenwich Village and Chelsea and celebrate their history in the neighborhood streets. The route includes several LGBTQ+ landmarks along the path, including the Stonewall National Monument and the New York City AIDS Memorial. This yearโ€™s March will be led by five grand marshals made up of various LGBT+ celebrities and activists, including Punkie Johnson, Schuyler Bailar Chase Strangio, Ts Morgan and Dominique Morgan.

Bliss Days

June 25, 2:00 PM

After the March is through, thereโ€™s a place for LGBTQ+ womxn to celebrate with their own community. Formerly known as Femme Fatale, Bliss Days is returning to Pride to give all womxn a chance to party with their community. When you step onto Harbor Rooftop in Midtown West, youโ€™ll find a dance party filled with special acts throughout the afternoon. You can dance along to songs from rotating DJs, see a pop-up performance and get a chance to meet a special guest.
