The Atomic Saloon Show, located inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, is not for the faint of heart. This Wild West-themed variety show combines raucous comedy, risque acrobatics, and raunchy theatrical performances, all set within a quirky saloon environment. With its high-energy acts and hilarious antics, the Atomic Saloon Show captivates audiences, providing a unique escape from the ordinary. One of the show’s most memorable cast members is the cowboy Blue Jackson, who serenades the audience with some NSFW songs that will have you rolling in your seats. We caught up with performer Colin Cahill about his Vegas favorites!
Colin Cahill from Atomic Saloon Show Shares His Favorite Las Vegas Spots
WG: What brought you to Las Vegas?
Cahill: I had recently met my wife to be performing on a cruise ship, and as the contract was coming to a close, she booked Jubilee at Bally’s (now Horseshoe Las Vegas) and headed to Vegas. It would have been pretty difficult to continue stalking her from NYC, so I took the leap and followed her to Vegas, and we’ve been here ever since.
WG: Where are you from, and how long have you lived in Las Vegas?
Cahill: I was Born in St Louis and grew up mostly in Madison, Alabama. I was essentially a nomad from the age of 18, going off to college and living wherever the job took me. Until finally settling in Vegas, which is now the longest I’ve resided in any one place at almost ten years.
WG: What do you love best about Las Vegas?
Cahill: It’s where my son was born.
WG: What is your favorite way to spend an evening/afternoon if you’re going to the Strip?
Cahill: Well, I don’t frequent the Strip as much as I used to, but I suppose if I go to the Strip, it’s to see a cool new show (or new to me), enjoy the drinks and atmosphere, and then use my wife’s luck on a slot machine to recoup the evening’s spending.
WG: What is your favorite spot to bring visiting family and friends?
Cahill: Mob Museum, Linq Promenade, Springs Preserve, Red Rock Canyon, Green Fairy Garden at Absinthe.
WG: Where are some of your favorite places to go and things to do in Las Vegas on your day off?
Cahill: Springs Preserve, hike the petroglyph trail, kayak south of the Hoover Dam, and relax in my pool with a margarita.
