A Look at Salt & Straw in Las Vegas

Now, ice cream connoisseurs can find the beloved brand in Las Vegas at UnCommons. “UnCommons is such a beautiful, unique community gathering place for the city, and we are really excited to be here,” Kim Malek, Co-Founder and CEO of Salt & Straw, told us. “We are so inspired to be part of the wonderful group of restaurants and chefs who have come together to create a special experience. It’s truly one of a kind—like nothing else we’ve ever seen!”

The newest location recently opened to long lines and crowds eager for a taste of one of the West Coast’s best brands. “We are so grateful for the warm welcome we’ve received!” Malek said of the demand. “Our team at Uncommons is just magical. We’ve been working for quite some time on learning all the details of our rotating flavors – so our guests can enjoy a full-taste adventure as they try each of our flavors while learning about the collaborations and special techniques that went into each one. It’s been so fun to recruit for this shop and get to know all of these incredibly talented people.”

The new Salt & Straw couldn’t have arrived at a better time, as Las Vegas temperatures are currently in the triple digits for the next couple of months. In the meantime, ice cream lovers can enjoy a variety of classic flavors and fun rotating monthly tastes. “We hope to be a place where folks come to make memories for generations to come,” Malek told us. “We change our menu every month, so it’s going to be fun to introduce people to ice cream like they’ve never had before. Stay tuned for details on our July menu—it’s going to be a great one for the summer. And you can’t miss our classic flavors too – Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons, Chocolate Gooey Brownie, Olive Oil, Pear with Blue Cheese…the list goes on and on. It’s going to be incredible.”

As much as fans are excited for a taste of Salt & Straw in their local neighborhood, Malek and the team are excited to share their flavors. “We are throwing our hearts into our new shop and getting to know everyone. We’d love to hear from other folks about where they’d like to see a Salt & Straw next!”
