Las Vegas Strip

Las Vegas, Sin City, the Entertainment Capital of the World—these are just a few of the many monikers that describe the vibrant desert city of Las Vegas. It is undoubtedly one of the most famous destinations in the world, attracting millions of visitors every year. For first-time Vegas visitors, here are ten tips that will help you make the most out of your visit to this dazzling city.

Quick Tips For Your Next Vegas Trip

Plan Ahead
Before heading to Vegas, it’s important to do your research and plan ahead. From flights, accommodations, and attractions to shows and dining, there are numerous options to choose from in Las Vegas. Make sure you book your hotel and shows in advance, as prices can fluctuate depending on the time of year.

Book Hotels Accordingly
If you’re planning on doing everything on the Strip and cramming your trip with activities, staying on the Strip is your best bet. If you want to save some cash and explore the areas around the Strip, there are plenty of great places to stay off the Strip that will help you save—many also offer shuttle service to and from the Strip.

Choose the Right Time to Visit
Las Vegas is a year-round destination, but certain times of the year are more crowded than others. Holiday weekends, major events, and warmer months tend to be the busiest and most expensive times to visit. Spring and fall offer milder weather and fewer crowds.

Be Prepared to Walk
Las Vegas may be a small city, but the Strip is deceptively long. Be prepared to walk long distances if you want to see everything. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a backpack to carry any essentials.

Take Advantage of Free Attractions
Despite its reputation for excess, Las Vegas offers plenty of free attractions, from the iconic Fountains of Bellagio to the light show at the Fremont Street Experience. Check out the schedule ahead of time and plan your visit accordingly.

Don’t Forget About Downtown Las Vegas
While the Strip gets most of the attention, downtown Las Vegas offers a unique glimpse into the city’s past. Check out the Neon Museum and the Mob Museum, or take a walk down the famous Fremont Street.

Book a Show or Concert
No visit to Las Vegas is complete without catching a show or concert. From Cirque du Soleil to residency shows from some of the biggest names in music, there’s something for everyone.

Indulge in the Food Scene
Las Vegas is a food lover’s paradise with world-class restaurants and celebrity chef-owned establishments on almost every corner. You won’t find as many celebrity chef restaurants in such a small radius as you will in Las Vegas!

Set a Gambling Budget
Gambling is a big part of the Las Vegas experience, but it’s important to set a budget and stick to it. Don’t gamble with more than you can afford, and always gamble responsibly.

Take Time to Relax
With so much to see and do in Las Vegas, it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of it all. However, it’s important to take time to relax and recharge. Whether it’s a spa day or a quiet walk through a park, make sure you take some time for self-care during your visit.
