Fiesta Village has returned to Knott’s Berry Farm! Open just in time for summer, guests can enjoy a variety of new experiences, dining options, and several beloved attractions that have been closed for months as the park reinvented the fan-favorite space.
Fiesta Village Returns to Knott’s Berry Farm
The reimagined space provides guests with a beautiful and educational look at Latin heritage. Enjoy unique experiences both day and night as Fiesta Village transforms itself from a daytime festival to an evening party. During the afternoon hours, visitors, young and old, can enjoy tales from the Fiesta Village Storyteller and live musical performances take place throughout the day. In the evening, enjoy performers like the Adelaide Salsa Tropical on weekends and the Calle Celebración every night. The village’s beautiful alebrijes are stunning during daylight hours but truly come alive with color as the sun sets.
Fiesta Village is home to numerous attractions, including thrill rides like Sol Spin, La Revolucion, and Jaguar, and some fun for the whole family of all ages like Dragon Swing, Hat Dance, Carrusel de California, and Los Voladores. One more ride is coming later this summer as Montezooma’s Revenge is rebranded and reimagined as Montezuma: The Forbidden Fortress. A multitude of new merchandise options are also available in the various shops around Fiesta Village. Visitors can bring home branded items, colorful craft goods, familiar Peanuts Gang faces, and more. A number of pre-packaged snacks and pantry goods like spices and sauces are also for purchase, and make a flavorful souvenir to celebrate your visit.
Make sure to check out the new dining additions located within Fiesta Village. “Casa California is similar to a few restaurants we have throughout corporate parks in Cedar Fair. One of the things they said to us was that it has to be authentic,” Director of Food & Beverage Wilf Seymour told us. “And authentic is really one of those tough things to bring together here in California because California has a huge history of Hispanic foods. So we’ve taken Hispanic foods from California that have been great here like the carne asad, the suites—we do have elite, which is a great product here.”
Fiesta Village pulls inspiration from various parts of the region, and its dining options offer the same level of diversity. “We’ve pulled inspiration from other areas in Central America and Mexico and took what we have in California. For instance, the burrito was invented in San Francisco,” Seymour explained. “So when you think about that, how authentic is a burrito? So a lot of this comes from California roots. The people that work here helped, and their moms helped. We had moms come in and show our team how to make good masa for the tamales. We played with making our own tortillas for our tacos. Making fresh tacos is really hard because of the shell and making it consistent, so we decided not to, but went on a hunt for the perfect shell for a long time.”
Diners can find Baja Taqueria tucked away in the colorful Alebrije Gardens, serving up a variety of fun tacos, while the nearby Cantina Del Sur offers delicious margaritas, tequila tastings, and beer that are perfect as the days and nights heat up. Casa California showcases various bowls, burritos, tamales, and more in a customizable format, and Papas Mexicanas serves up a great blend of fries, including carne asada and elote.
