“Red Rock already has an amazing bowling experience for our guests,” Joe Yalda, Vice President of Guest Experiences, said of the new immersive bowling experience. “When Brunswick, the bowling manufacturer, approached us about implementing this new technology, we knew it was going to be an immediate hit. Of course, we are always looking for ways to enhance the guest experience, and this was just best, so incredible visually but approachable for novices to pros.”
Bowling experts Brunswick integrated the system at Red Rock Lanes in a meticulous technology upgrade. “The tech was installed lane by lane and required a lot of skill and expertise from the Brunswick team to make sure all the projections were perfect,” Yalda said of the installation.
Unlike the traditional bowling scoring system, visitors can select from different games within the console for new interactions. Guests can choose from the classic Spark® Light it Up Experience, Angry Birds, PinPix (which allows bowlers to upload their own images via the tablet in their lane), Rival Rumble (with fun mascots for different teams), Boom Bots and Creature Feature. “The tech features augmented reality and projection mapping on the lanes, so the ball interacts with whatever is being projected on the lanes, which makes for such eye-catching visuals and another layer of competition to the game,” Yalda explained. “What makes it so unique is the actual technology itself and how fun and interactive it is. Even with multiple visits, you’ll always have a new game to play.”
In addition to the new upgrades, Red Rock Lanes has also added the Brunswick OpenLane App, where visitors can join a virtual waitlist for lanes on busy nights, redeem offers at Red Rock Lanes and track their stats. Red Rock Lanes has also introduced Spark party packages that are perfect for interactive group events and special occasions. The Spark Experience is priced starting at $50 per hour for up to five players (not including shoe rentals). A Spark Happy Hour is available Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for $35 per hour and lane with a $5 shoe rental price per person.
