The WNDR Museum offers visitors a uniquely immersive experience, blending the scopes of art and technology to create a one-of-a-kind adventure. Situated in key cities like Boston, San Diego, and Chicago—home to the flagship location—the museum transforms conventional ideas of a museum by bringing visitors on a journey designed to utilize their senses and inspire “WNDR.”

How WNDR Museum Redefines the Museum Experience

WNDR Museum is ever-changing and locations opened after the brand’s Chicago base are a part of that change. “Our Boston venue follows our flagship in Chicago that’s been open since 2018 and our second venue in San Diego,” Chris Cloud, Senior Director of Brand and Engagement, explained. “WNDR is an ever-evolving experience and Boston is an evolution. As we grow, we look forward to introducing new elements and layers in 2025 and beyond.”

Though all three locations share some similarities, there are key differences that make each museum unique and worth a visit of its own. “At all venues, curious guests use all their senses to ignite their final one: WNDR—the sixth human sense that feeds creativity, curiosity and the idea of possibility,” Cloud said of the three locations. “Our intellectual playground was designed to inspire creative joy. While all three share some of the same interactive and immersive installations, over half of WNDR Boston’s installations made their WNDR debut in Boston. We are rolling out some of the biggest hits there to our other venues.”

Highlighting a mix of local and international talent, the WNDR Museum presents diverse installations that captivate through innovation and creativity. The brand also strives to be a part of the communities where they are located to foster growth with the locals in new and inspiring ways. “People are craving connections beyond the ones served up by an algorithm,” Cloud told us. “Experiences like WNDR catalyze connections and play a vital role in overall cultural production in all of our communities. WNDR is a cultural hub for creativity, connecting creators, culture-makers, and the community through collaborative projects and programs. We have some exciting programs coming up this Fall in Boston with Select Markets and the East Boston Artists Group.”

Though most museums are confined to four walls for displays, WNDR Museum utilizes all of the spaces to immerse visitors as fully as possible. The museum’s artwork can be found all around through projections, real-life applications, and traditional mediums. “In all three cities, WNDR is adding another layer to the already strong cultural fabric of the city,” Cloud said of the spaces. “Since our origins in Chicago, we’ve collaborated with the city’s creative milieu and have done so in San Diego and now Boston. Their creativity feels right at home at WNDR. All cities see a healthy amount of tourism traffic. We often hear from guests how much they wished there was a WNDR in their hometown.”
