The WNDR Museum offers visitors a uniquely immersive experience, blending the scopes of art and technology to create a one-of-a-kind adventure. Situated in key cities like Boston, San Diego, and Chicagoโ€”home to the flagship locationโ€”the museum transforms conventional ideas of a museum by bringing visitors on a journey designed to utilize their senses and inspire โ€œWNDR.โ€

How WNDR Museum Redefines the Museum Experience

WNDR Museum is ever-changing and locations opened after the brandโ€™s Chicago base are a part of that change. โ€œOur Boston venue follows our flagship in Chicago thatโ€™s been open since 2018 and our second venue in San Diego,โ€ Chris Cloud, Senior Director of Brand and Engagement, explained. โ€œWNDR is an ever-evolving experience and Boston is an evolution. As we grow, we look forward to introducing new elements and layers in 2025 and beyond.โ€

Though all three locations share some similarities, there are key differences that make each museum unique and worth a visit of its own. โ€œAt all venues, curious guests use all their senses to ignite their final one: WNDRโ€”the sixth human sense that feeds creativity, curiosity and the idea of possibility,โ€ Cloud said of the three locations. โ€œOur intellectual playground was designed to inspire creative joy. While all three share some of the same interactive and immersive installations, over half of WNDR Bostonโ€™s installations made their WNDR debut in Boston. We are rolling out some of the biggest hits there to our other venues.โ€

Highlighting a mix of local and international talent, the WNDR Museum presents diverse installations that captivate through innovation and creativity. The brand also strives to be a part of the communities where they are located to foster growth with the locals in new and inspiring ways. โ€œPeople are craving connections beyond the ones served up by an algorithm,โ€ Cloud told us. โ€œExperiences like WNDR catalyze connections and play a vital role in overall cultural production in all of our communities. WNDR is a cultural hub for creativity, connecting creators, culture-makers, and the community through collaborative projects and programs. We have some exciting programs coming up this Fall in Boston with Select Markets and the East Boston Artists Group.โ€

Though most museums are confined to four walls for displays, WNDR Museum utilizes all of the spaces to immerse visitors as fully as possible. The museumโ€™s artwork can be found all around through projections, real-life applications, and traditional mediums. โ€œIn all three cities, WNDR is adding another layer to the already strong cultural fabric of the city,โ€ Cloud said of the spaces. โ€œSince our origins in Chicago, weโ€™ve collaborated with the cityโ€™s creative milieu and have done so in San Diego and now Boston. Their creativity feels right at home at WNDR. All cities see a healthy amount of tourism traffic. We often hear from guests how much they wished there was a WNDR in their hometown.โ€
