From sweet treats and colorful finds to educational journeys and plenty of photo opportunities, there’s something for everyone. The city invites visitors to explore creativity of all kinds through numerous unique, sensory-driven attractions. Here are five must-visit immersive experiences in NYC that promise to leave lasting impressions!

Five NYC Immersive Experiences to Enjoy

Museum of Ice Cream

The Museum of Ice Cream is a delightfulโ€”and deliciousโ€”spot for the whole family. You may have seen the bright pink interiors and cold treats all over social media, and the reality of a visit is just as sweet. Visitors can enjoy various exhibits, photo opportunities, and plenty of delicious ice cream samples in multiple rooms (you’ll even start your visit with one). Feeling adventurous? Skip the steps and take a ride down the gigantic pink slide to make a sweet escape from the top floor. Make sure to take a dip in the sprinkle pool before you leave! Itโ€™s the perfect way to end a visit to the sweetest museum.

Color Factory

Color Factory is more than just a haven of colorsโ€”it’s a feast for the senses in more ways than one. Enjoy various samples and treats as you explore rooms dedicated to color and igniting your senses of sight, smell, sound, and touch. From a silent disco to a dreamy ball pit, complimentary compliments, and so much more, you’ll learn along the way (whether you realize it or not), and you’ll also get the chance to capture unique memories in the various rooms. Take advantage of the QR code system and the timed cameras in various rooms to take photos of your visit and have them sent directly to your phone.

Museum of Broadway

The Museum of Broadway is the perfect spot to visit if you’re a fan of pop culture, whether it be Broadway, film, music, or the arts in general. Explore the world of Broadway from backstage in the dressing rooms to the stage sets and the costumes. You’ll get a look at some of Broadway’s most iconic shows, like Phantom of the Opera, and be able to explore photo opportunities that put you right on the set. Check out the wall of Playbills (it’s still growing all the time), the crops from Oklahoma! and some of the greatest hits from musical theater all under one roof.

INTER_

INTER_ offers a new look at the immersive experience. While most projection-mapped spaces offer a certain level of immersion, INTER_ encourages interaction at every stop. Make sure to move around and explore the spaceโ€”especially when taking in the various elements (earth, fire, air, and water) of the INTERverse in the first main room. If you’re carrying bags, make use of the free locker rentals to free up your hands and arms to interact as fully as possible and allow yourself to move freely.
