Boston Waterfront at Night

With its lush history and the combination of modern skyscrapers and historic buildings, the skyline view of Boston is both unique and beautiful. Coupled with the gorgeous waterfront spaces, it’s easy to find a beautiful view in the city of Boston. Here are some of our favorite spots to take in the view and take that perfect photo.

Fantastic Views in Boston

Boston Waterfront

Boston Waterfront can be viewed from many different locations. Some of the following restaurants offer their guests delicious cuisine and sweeping waterfront views (these six spots are just a few of the fantastic restaurants that provide a gorgeous view your meal). Just make sure to book a reservation, as these restaurants often book up due to their beautiful locations.

There are also numerous attractions and parks near the waterfront that provide a great view—the USS Constitution Museum, New England Aquarium and Boston Children’s Museum are all by the harbor. The Rose Kennedy Greenway weaves around the city with various viewpoints along the way, and The Rose Kennedy Greenway is quite literally a harbor walk.

Whether you choose to dine, stroll, relax, cruise, to participate in some locational activities, the waterfront views will always find a way to calm and refresh you.

Boston National Historical Park

To learn the events before, during and after the American Revolution and to the birth of our nation, visiting Boston National Historical Park is a must. It’s the perfect place to enjoy some of Boston’s (and America’s) history along with a beautiful view. The Charlestown Navy Yard is right along the water, and there are two visitor centers at the park.

Boston Public Garden

Boston Public Garden in downtown Boston attracts many visitors daily. The touch of Victorian tradition is manifested by the gardener’s design throughout the park. The Public Garden showcase colorful plants and some unusual ones, statues, fountains and a pond/lagoon the ducks call home. There are the Swan Boats for visitors to ride during the warmer time of the year.

The romantic setting of the park has drawn in many couples to share their wedding vows there. There’s so much you can do that the garden has become a major attraction to many and also to the ones who simply wish to escape the hassle of the city.

Congress Street Bridge

Congress Street Bridge, spanning over Fort Point Channel on Congress Street, is the latest of five movable-truss bridges. After almost ninety years, many original components from the bridge remain today. Although it no longer operates for boats, it exists as a strong structure right next to the Boston Tea Party Ships Museum.

Observation Deck at Independence Wharf

There are many buildings in Boston taller than Independence Wharf with observation decks that come with resting areas, snacks and other amenities. Many present expensive price tags. The observation deck at Independence Wharf on the 14th floor is for visitors to enjoy the spectacular view of the Boston Harbor, Harborwalk, Seaport District and the neighboring areas. It opens daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and it’s free.
