Local Sushi in Las Vegas
Jjanga
Jjanga Sushi is of Las Vegas’s most famous locally-owned sushi spots with two locations—one in Spring Valley and one conveniently located just off the Las Vegas Strip. While the location in Spring Valley offers a full teppanyaki space, the location near the Strip offers a delicious oyster selection. The restaurant is home to the Instagram-famous sushi burgers, sushi pizzas and one of the best AYCE selections in the city that includes various rolls and even sushi burritos. The restaurant also offers an eight-piece sashimi special for $22, which is a great way to sample some of the best fresh catches at Jjanga.
Ono Sushi
If you’re looking for a casual spot with a delicious selection, Ono Sushi on the Eastside is a great place to dine. The restaurant is close to the Strip but offers just enough distance to get you away from the hustle and bustle of the casinos. You’ll find a reasonably-priced AYCE option here with a fun AYCD add-on available for just $9.98 when accompanying an AYCE meal. Ono Sushi also offers bottomless mimosas on weekends for $10.98 with an AYCE purchase, Ladies Night two-for-one signature cocktails on Tuesdays, and a daily happy hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. featuring $2 sakes and $3 beers.
Su Casa
Hidden within Mi Casa Grill Cantina at Silverton Casino, you’ll find the Su Casa Sushi Bar, a quaint blend of casino dining and neighborhood sushi bar. Silverton Casino recently invited us in to check out the new menu items and the newly introduced Omakase. The omakase experience is priced at $80 per person and includes ten pieces of nigiri, four pieces of sashimi and one sushi roll presented on a picturesque platter. The meal is complemented by the Su Casa sake bomb. Su Casa Sushi Bar is open Thursday through Monday, and diners at Mi Casa and Su Casa can enjoy menu items from both restaurant concepts at their table—perfect for sushi lovers and those looking for a Mexican meal. The new omakase experience is part of a recent menu update at Su Casa, and with it come a number of new dishes that also include the freshest catches.
Jade Asian Kitchen
You’ll find Jade Asian Kitchen tucked away inside the Resort at Summerlin, which consists of Rampart Casino and the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa. The restaurant features a variety of Chinese and Japanese specialties with a unique selection of sushi rolls and three different Omakase meals starting at just $33 for a seven-piece nigiri set. Jade Asian Kitchen also offers a full Teppanyaki experience that’s perfect for groups and celebrations. The happy hour at Jade is a favorite amongst locals and offers a fantastic selection of food and beverage items, including sushi rolls starting at $5 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday in the bar and on the beautiful patio.
The Connection Thai Sushi
The Connection Thai Sushi provides a great option for those who can’t choose between Thai food and sushi—the restaurant has a fantastic selection of both options. Located in Green Valley, the menu features a variety of hand rolls, specialty rolls like the 007 Roll and the Red Dragon Roll, and combination “elevator” sets that are both delicious and Instagrammable. The selection of nigiri, donburi and bento sets round out the selection of Japanese dishes before the menu transitions to Thai specialties along with rice and noodle dishes. There’s something for everyone at this quiet neighborhood gem.
